My business principle is simple and straight forward: "Production of images of superior quality at very reasonable rates".

I might not be the smartest business man in the trade and not charge as much as competing photographers but simply dare to compare the images in portfolios and assess what you get for your money.

I do not advertise my photography as much as I should and as others do, but I refuse to jeopardize quality for quantity. For that particular reason only a very limited number of bookings per week will be available.

An old style guy I do not own a smartphone or even a mobile phone and I am not signed up on facebook or twitter neither. My phone is connected via good old land line and I like it that way!

As you have seen on this website I like to spend my time photographing local wildlife and landscapes too, and I am also publishing calendars, posters and books which is time consuming. It takes time to produce good output and rushing as well as financial greed often result in mediocrity. I will limit the number of clients in order to produce true masterpieces that are to the full satisfaction of my customers.  

Controlled lighting either natural or artificial is the only way to guarantee excellent images. Therefore I refrain from shooting wedding procedures or other public events during which an on-camera flash restricts the options and will only produce snapshot results which are mediocre at best.

First class quality shots under these, often variable, conditions can not be guaranteed and are more based on luck rather than on the photographer's competence and skill. I can and will photograph wedded couples and other groups under settings though, if controlling the light sources is possible (strobe set-up) without disturbing the actual event. In all honesty, quality wise, I could not charge a client in good conscience for any of the snapshots depicted in the wedding portfolios of local photographers, especially not the horrendous amounts of $ 2,000.00 and up. Should any of my photo shoots for any unknown reason look that disappointing, you will not be charged a dime. 

I work for over 10 years with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and feel competent to give you the look that you are after. Adobe smart objects, layers and masks are my specialty and allow for infinite possibilities. The options are endless from B & W, Vintage, Half-saturated and much, much more. I am also able to restore old and damaged prints, scanning prints and slides and compose different images.

On occasion I photograph in exchange for a model release, if the shots are suitable for publication.

My studio is currently equipped to produce fullbody portfolios and portraits for individuals and small groups of up to 7 people. Larger more elaborate premisses will be available soon.

Up to 7 strobes are available to create the look that you are after from a more dramatic, contrasty lighting to a well lit detailed image.

Postprocessing will refine your image to exactly what you envisioned and many variations will give you choices.

All images are photographed with 25 mp (6048 X 4048 pixels) and will naturally print with 300 dpi to 13 x 19 inches. Smart Object manipulation will allow an increase of up to 500 times that print size without resolution loss and can be arranged.
